Facebook Extends Ubiquity

Facebook is not sitting on the sidelines as Twitter explodes in popularity, perchance leaving it in the dust. At SXSW Dave Morin focused on the recent changes to real-time user home pages ... giving Facebook a more Twitter-like feel in my opinion. But this appears to have been only the first volley, Facebook Connect has come to the iPhone. The cool factor here is that users can not connect with the Facebook network while using their favorite apps!

Give Facebook Connect a test drive with Whrrl, a location-aware application which makes it easier to stay connected with your Facebook friends.

But it doesn't stop there! No! Seesmic has released the first desktop client for Facebook which works much like Twhirl.
